In many developing countries, women and girls lack access to basic sexual health advice and contraception. A gap that leads to high rates of teenage pregnancy, disrupted education, and long term consequences for both communities and the climate.
To address this in East Africa, we’re reimagining the role of midwives as trusted sexual health advisors for teenage girls. Our campaign uses kangas, traditional printed fabrics as discreet, culturally resonant tools. Each kanga becomes a contact card and a coded canvas, carrying vital sexual health information that only the young women can interpret.
